| Well I haven't wrote in here for awhile but i'll try to write more often. This weekend I raced the mile. I finally broke 6 mins! My time was 5:58.7. This had been my goal for a long time but I wasn't as excited about it as I thought I would be. My stomach felt really sick after the race but I never puked or anything. Then after the race Shareen and I helped my neighbor with her party. We handed out drinks and stuff. A lot of time we did nothing so we were pretty tired. Sunday I finished my spaghetti bridge, went to the mall, and to my cousins house. I bought a black bathing suit cause I always wanted one. I went to the mall to get my facewash stuff but they were out of it! That was pretty much all that I did. | | |
| Today was the cross country sectionals meet. We placed 7th place as a team. We were 9 points away from going to state as a team. It was sooo windy! I got 79th place with a time of 20:46 for 3.05 miles, so I improved my 3 mile time. My start was pretty bad but I built well throughout the race. The finish was really painful and a few people passed me but I'm not gonna be mad about that cause I couldn't have gone any faster. Everyone was so nice to me and they all said I did so well. Everyone else did awesome to and the guys got 3rd place and made it to state! Good job to everyone! | | |
| Yesterday was the West Aurora Stampede. That race is sooo awesome. It is my favorite race cause it's only one lap and the scenery is cool. I felt pretty good during the race, I mean it was painful because I was tired, but it could have been worse. I got a 22 second pr! My time was 20:40 for 3 miles. Yeah finally under 21 mins! Now my foot hurts again so I hope I can still run the rest of the season. After the race I went down to Chicago for the Marathon. It was really cool to watch. There was 40,000 people running it! I admire anyone who can run a marathon. I don't know if I will ever run one. I know when I graduate I wanna run a half marathon, but a marathon is a lot of running! | | |
| Yesterday was the first cross country race of the season, the Elgin City Classic. It was 2.5 miles. I got 5th place out of i think 58 people with a time of 16:41. I was really happy with my time cause last year at this race my time was 18:10. Our team did really well and I can tell it will be a good season for our team. | | |
| So yesterday was the 1st day of school. Emily drove me to school. First I had Algebra 3-4. It doesn't seem like it will be to hard. Then I had English. My teacher said she loves speeches so we will be doing a lot of them this year ahhh. 3rd I have history. It seems like a cool class and I really wanna pay attention to everything since in my past years I haven't payed much attention to history. 4th I have spanish. My teacher only speaks spanish so she was talkin to me and my responses were what...huh...did you say this? I felt so stupid lol. 5th I have choir. I don't really think I'm gonna like it, I wanted to be in the other choir but no I guess I'm not good enough. 6th I have lunch. It's so crowded! 7th I have physics. Everyone says it's gonna be so hard! It doesn't seem that bad but again it's only the 1st day. Then I have early dismissal so Emily and I went to Sarahs. Then we had to come back for practice. We ran hills. I did 10. It was really hard but I did it. On the way back I felt like crap but oh well.
So today was a pretty good day. In algebra we played games. 2nd hour we had an assembly. It was so dumb just explaining the rules and stuff and telling us how lucky we are to have our upperclassmen privelages. | | |
